Private holding · Arnhem, The Netherlands
Built to hold. Kept to last.
Hodges Enterprises B.V. exists to look after things: the assets we own, the companies we back, and the people who work inside them. We are not in a hurry — we maintain, we improve, and we hold for the long term.
Why the holding exists
One owner, many crafts.
A good operating company should be free to master its own trade. The holding takes the weight that would otherwise distract it — ownership, governance, asset care, finance, legal and long-term decisions — so each business can focus entirely on its craft. The structure is deliberately simple: one Dutch B.V., direct ownership, no complexity beyond what stewardship genuinely requires.
Ownership with intent
We hold assets and shareholdings with a long horizon — no exit clock, no artificial growth targets. Value comes from keeping things in excellent condition over time.
Care as a discipline
Maintenance is not a cost line, it is the job. Assets — buildings, systems, businesses — are kept current, documented and dependable.
Quiet governance
Clear ownership, clear mandates. The holding decides little and well: where to invest, what to protect, when to be patient.
The portfolio
What we hold.
Hartleys ↗
Arnhem-based, rooted in the city it serves. A local business held and cared for the way a good neighbour would.
Axelera B.V. ↗
Our technology company — AI agentic integrations built on the open-source Phantom stack, with the commercial PhantomOps platform. Home of phantombot, PhantomChat and the broader Phantom family.
Assets & investments
Property, financial holdings and quiet positions alongside the operating companies — held, maintained and reviewed with the same long-horizon discipline.
Stewardship
The point is that it still works in thirty years.
A holding is only as good as its maintenance. We keep our companies funded for the long term, our assets in good repair, and our governance boring — in the best sense of the word. When a business in the portfolio needs room to grow, it gets it; when it needs discipline, it gets that too. The measure of our work is not this year's number, but the condition of the whole in a generation.
